I’m Mathias

A software engineer based in Austria working on open source software and available for contract work.

I believe software should serve its users, instead of being a means to extract money - or worse - exploit people. For me software development is both craft and art, and my goal is to create applications with soul that are robust and simple - they should contain the features needed, but not more. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry put it:

perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away, when a body has been stripped down to its nakedness.
